From 10 to 18 September piazza Garibaldi in Menaggio will host a solo exhibition of the artist Gabriela Butti.
“I carve images into paper, bodies, light footprints, impressions of forms. Bodies detectable only by lights rays. I produce leather paper crossed by pores, skins breathing light living of wrinkles and furrows. Points describing bodies and substances of pure energy subtracted at the time away from frenetic and changing reality.
Born in Italy in 1985, Gabriela graduated at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Milan.
Her artworks have an innate sense of aesthetic rigours owing to the modular repetition of little points, painted like a smooth shade or a strong borderline, defining forms and different depths. Influenced by everything and everybody her fine art is growing combining different media, new ideas and old techniques in something always innovative and never superficial.”
