At Miniartextil with the Sulutumana

Saturday, 19th November, at the Antonio Ratti Cultural Room in Como, special opening until 20:30 of the Miniartextil exhibition with the music of the Sulutumana.

The Sulutumana (from the Western Lombard sul’utumana: “on the sofa”) is an Italian musical group related with the folk music tradition; their songs are about stories of everyday life.

The origins of the group date back to 1989 when it was just a duo and its members where Gian Battista Galli and Michele Bosisio, interpreters of singer-songwriters and folk songs covers.
It was only nine years later when it became a proper group, with the joining of Francesco Andreotti (piano, accordion), Angelo “Pich” Galli (flute, choir), Nadir Giori (bass guitar, double bass), Antonello Matzutzi (drums) and Andrea Aloisi (violin).
In 2000 it published its first CD-single with two songs (Carlina Rinascente and La Danza).
The group was invited to Sanremo at the Premio Tenco where it won the IMAIE shield as the best new artist.
Since 2001 it has collected over 1000 live performances in Italy, Switzerland and Germany.

In this way the visitors will be able to discover the beauties of the contemporary art exhibition, whose theme is To Weave Dreams, accompanied by the Sulutumana notes.
